RIFQAH’S LESSON PLAN   Lesson Plan based on Tanjong Rhu The themes presented in Tanjong Rhu, written by Minfong Ho, which centres around familial ties, was the primary reason for me choosing this short story as a 1-hour lesson for students. The emotional depth of the story opens up opportunities for students to explore more complex ideas, which I believe is encouraging for students to think critically when it comes to analysing literary texts. Hello everyone! My name is Najla bt Faizal (A212776) In this blog, I will be showing my individual lesson plan that I have created for my e-portfolio and justifications regarding my lesson plan. NAJLA’S LESSON PLAN JUSTIFICATIONS In my lesson plan, I have chosen a Form 4 syllabus which is a really interesting and simple poem entitled “The Living Photograph” by Jackie Kay. I chose this poem as it is a relatable heartfelt poem regarding our beloved grandmothers. The complimentary skill is Literature in Action and the Main Skill chosen is Reading.    In this lesson, my students will be able to learn how to read poems with intonations and practice voice projection which is a crucial skill throughout their learning process. On the other hand, they are asked to voice out their own thoughts and ideas regarding the poem which enhances their critical thinking skills.
